About Miss Tara

It is about kindness.

Tara Hettrick is the founder of Stella Maris Girls and the creator of Miss Tara Manners. A Certified Etiquette Trainer for Children and Pre-Teens, she blends traditional etiquette with faith, character formation, and confidence, helping girls and boys grow in grace and kindness so they can move through the world with poise and joy.

Her approach was shaped by time spent in the cultural and social circles of Germany and Italy, where she witnessed firsthand how grace, confidence, and refined manners are not separate things. They are one. That experience became the foundation of her work, especially through the Stella Maris Girls Program, a curriculum she created to give the next generation of young women the tools to flourish in the world beautifully.

And while her heart is with young people, the principles she teaches do not stop at childhood. Formation is not age-specific. Confidence never goes out of style.

Manners are not about perfection or performance. They are about kindness. The simple skills that help us make others feel comfortable, move through social situations with ease, and show respect for ourselves and those around us. The goal is not perfect children. It is kind, confident ones.

Miss Tara Manners

Stella Maris Girls is a faith-centered 5-week virtual program designed specifically for girls aged 9 to 12.

The goal is to form whole, confident, and kind young women who feel at ease in any environment. When a girl knows what to do, she feels steady. And from that steadiness comes confidence and grace.
